Post Herpectic Neuralgia

I was diagnosed with Herpes Zoster (Shingles) on my forehead/scalp area on one side of the face 2 weeks ago. Took antiviral medications the minute the rash started to appear, the blisters never got bad.   The pain and ithicng though has been there.    Can Post Herpetic Neuralgia symptoms develope and be diagnosed within these 2 weeks or it is normal for shingles to produce pain for all this time?

Thanks for your answer.   What is the normal time for the duration of this desease? I mean the time where the symptoms are normal and not long term complications.

this is a completely normal part of shingles.

talk to your provider about prescription topicals for pain relief for this.
