How can herpes affect my unborn child?? Should I be concerned?

Yes... Im also 9wks

I never had an outbreak when I found out it was a couple years back... Nd I went to a clinic they called me nd told me over phone which I found that weird

so you had blood testing that came back as hsv2+? any chance you can get those results to post here or have I commented on them before?

You've had hsv2 prior to becoming pregnant so it's not an issue until the time of delivery. If you should have a recurrence a few days prior to labor or at the time of labor, a c section will be done. Otherwise the risk of transmission to the baby during delivery is less than 1%.  

When you have your first ob/gyn appointment for your pregnancy, discuss with your provider if they use daily suppressive therapy in the pregnancy doses for the last month of pregnancy to try to ward off a recurrence so you can deliver vaginally.

I went to the doctors last week to get results from my blood test my obgyn said everything was fine... And then she did a pap testing for herpes... Waiting on those results now... Wouldn't see had seen that I'm positive for herpes n the blood test? When I first found out that doctor never mentioned it to me in person but on the phone...  Could it have been false positive... About the results they never gave me a paper saying positive or wat type.. Nothing

But been told by my old doctor at the clinici had genital herpes nothing else was said... I couldn't believe it because its ben two years now and never had an out break but my boy friend would get them alot

you can't test for herpes with a pap test.  

you will need to find out if you were actually tested for herpes when you had blood testing done.
