Question about transmission of Herpes

by whoknows979, Apr 29, 2009 08:46PM
I have a question about the transmission of HSV. In terms of where an outbreak can occur: if a female gives a male oral sex... but only on the tip of the penis, can he have an outbreak in the pubic area above the penis, even if her mouth never touched that area? Will outbreaks only occur where they have come into contact with the virus?

Thanks very much

It doesn't really matter all that much where you were infected - you can get symptoms anywhere in the entire anogenital area. I fyou have symptoms that you want to know what they are, see your provider for further evaluation.
