Rash

Is a red rash between below my scrotum a concern with regard to STDs?

I had unprotected oral sex with a woman 10 weeks ago. The rash is red and mildly irritating. When I put cortisone on it it feels better. I also have had hemorrhoids on and off over the last 5 weeks.

Is a rash like that a symptom of a STD such as genital herpes?

Thanks for any information.

Thanks - I have been tested at 70 days. I am negative for HSV-1 and HSV-2. So, it appears to be just a rash. Thanks and sorry for your situation. I hope you are ok.

Yes!! I just got it from my boyfriend who has been having just a rash. He didn't think anything of it, and I wouldn't hae really either. Did you experienced chills, fever and aches at any point? Just go get tested! Don't make the same mistake my boyfriend made and infect someone else. Believe me, if you have it, your lucky your first outbreak was mild. I was in excruciating pain for weeks.  Keep in mind, that if you have a blood test, the results might come back negative if you just contracted the virus.  And they can't take a culture if you don't ahve lesions.  So, go get tested. and if it comes back negative, go gest tested again after at least 60 days have past since the day you think you contracted it. You may never show symptoms again but still pass it along. Don't risk it!
