Reading Test Results Help

1) does anyone know (or know where I can find out) the rating scale from neg to pos hsv2 blood test reading?  Like, if you are w/in what range are you considered pos for a hsv2 test?  (sometimes, I dont ask my ?'s correctly, lol)

2) which boold test is more reliable for hsv 2: IgG or glycoprotein tests?

3) My current test results read:

Herpes Simplex Type 1 and 2 (Direct)/CPT 86695                   Final-Abnormal
Test                                                                                    FlagResultsVal / ImpRange
HSV 1
Glycoprotein                                                                        3.55 IV
IgG                                                                                     (this spot is left blank)
HSV 2
Glyoprotein                                                                         5.27 IV
IgG                                                                                    (this spot is left blank)

I just need help in trying to understand these results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are + for both hsv1 and hsv2 according to the tests you had done.

You'd have to find out which test you had exactly and get the result range for that particular test from the lab.  I advised you based on the usual ranges for the herpes blood tests.

Here's the lgG Type Specific scales for HSV test results:

Negative: less than 0.91
Equivocal (early detection/may require re-test): between 0.91 - 1.09
Positive: greater than 1.09

From your results, you are definitely positive for both HSV-1 and HSV-2.

Is that an actual result or just something they put in the sheet as a general thing?
It says the same exact thing on my paper.
Negative: less than 0.91
Equivocal (early detection/may require re-test): between 0.91 - 1.09
Positive: greater than 1.09 (Is this something they put on all test results?)

but it also says above that 2.58 H 0.00-0.90 and my Dr says I have it? Do I?
