Really worried and confused

I had a blood test for STDs and the doctor told me I had bee exposed to HSV2. I haven't had any symptoms of it and I got tested almost a year after having sex for the first time. Do you think I have HSV2 or it's just dormant in my blood? Or could the test be wrong or is it definitely right?

There are plenty of posts about the blood tests here on medhelp to read more about.  depending on the test you had done, depends on the reference range to interprete your results.  We can't really help you all that much until you call and get your own results. There's no such thing as being exposed - you either have it, or you don't.

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Confusing-Igg-Test-Results/show/771141 is a prior post by HHH that might be helpful for you to read until you are able to post the results for me to help you with more.

:) Thanks. So do you know what the highest or lowest numbers I'd have to be considered positive?

You need to find more about the test. What kind of test was it..and what were the numbers for example:

HSV1 .90
HSV2 3.4

There is defintely a possibility that the test may be incorrect.
