Reckognizing shedding or a herpes type 2 outbreak?

by guy445, Jun 22, 2009 07:09PM
Correction: original post said hpv 2 needed to say hsv 2

Hi I since my initial herpes type 2 outbreak i have been on suppressive therapy that I take very regularly.  I have not had another outbreak that I know of. ie: nothing that resulted in an open sore.

Can a herpes outbreak not result in an open sore or look like something other than a reddish bump?

How does a person recognize shedding?

Is there a website out there that helps people with herpes identify very mild shedding symptoms?  All I can find is pics of severe outbreaks that appear worse than my initial.  I would like to see what a herpes outbreak or shedding looks like on a person who is on suppressive therapy and having an outbreak that is almost unnoticeable.

Will washing my penis with antibacterial soap and warm water before intercourse kill any herpes virus on the surface and reduce the chance of spreading to my gf?
