Recurrent Herpes Simplex 2

I'm having constant herpes simplex 2 outbreaks (almost every day)....is it because I havent been taking medicine for it so therefore it wont clear up? Or am I at a risk for possible hiv infection?

Grace,
Thank you for your response. I am female. I got tested in Jan. 07. The test came back reactive - submit a further sample for confirmation. I got the 2nd test which was indeed positive for HSV1 and HSV2. Was treated with Valtrex two times over the next couple of months. That helped temporarily but over the last 5-6 months the outbreaks have been so frequent that at this point I'm feeling discomfort everday. The symptoms are initial tingling on the exterior of the vaginal area..then pain...then severe itching. Really worried that this could be indication of HIV infection.

Are you male or female?

Please describe your symptoms you are having.

How were you diagnosed as having hsv2 and how long have you had it?

What sort of work up have you been thru with your doctor?
