Repeated Yeast Infection

by mel1232, May 29, 2008 10:31AM
I have been with my partner for 2 years and we had been having regular sex.  I never had anything wrong until about 5 months ago when we had sex and a few days later i got symptons of a yeast infection.  I treated it with the cream and it went away, then another month later I got another yeast infection.  I went to the doctor and he tested me for herpes and everything else and came back negative.  After that I keep on repeatly getting yeast infections or symptons of yeast infections.  I get really bad itching and burning and like some sores in a square shape.  What could it be?  The results to my test came back negative. Im so confused and my partner had sex with someone else, he said he protected himself though.

Has your partner been tested?  Have either of you had a type specific IgG blood test done?

I would find out from your doc exactly what you were tested for.  You might be surprised, and find that they didn't test for yeast, or herpes, or something like that.

Let us know, and we can help you with what you should do next.
