) oral then unprotected mutual masturbation with someone I meet at a club, as a one-night stand kind of thing. This occurred around April 11th. Then 1-2 days later, I felt a tingling sensation on the tip of the penis
, and got red eye, which lasted for couple of weeks. I went to see the doctor, who gave me some eye drops for the red eye, and suggested STD panel.
Then I felt very itchy near the anus and I scratched a little too hard... next day I had this weird burning sensation ranging from the anus to the penis
, etc. I visited my doctor twice and got the STD panel, everything came back negative. However I noticed that herpes was not tested. I asked the doctor and he examined me front to back, and said there was no sign of herpes outbreak and the test was not necessary. He gave me some anti-biotic and sent me home, saying that whatever I have will probably go away on its own.
The burning sensation went away after about a month. It lasted from May 10 or 11 to early June. Then last week (1st week of Sept) I felt itchy around the anus and was stupid enough to scratch a bit too hard again. Now I've had this mild burning sensation from my butt to my penis.
I talked to my doctor again and he examined me. I've not slept with anyone since April. My doctor said he cannot find any signs of herpes, said I have anxiety and sent me home. I asked about possibility of herpes and herpes testing, he said unless if there was sores to do a swab test, it's very difficult to confirm and the blood tests aren't accurate.
Can anyone give me some advice?
* update: I've had the crotch burning sensation for a week now with no breakouts.
So I've had a re-occurrence of the burning sensation since last week. The burning sensation is mild and not localized to the penis. I'd also note that my anus has been itchy and I was stupid enough to keep scratching it. The burning sensation seems to go away for a while, then after I scratch it comes back. But I cannot be certain that it's the cause.
The top of my tongue is white-ish and someone suggested possibility of candida?
I examine myself daily since burning begin and have yet to find a single sore or breakout.
This sounds far more like a fungal infection or bacterial skin infection than herpes. You need to continue to follow up wtih your provider or a dermatologist to try to figure out what is going on.
You were never at risk for herpes from this encounter. You had protected oral sex and then mutual masturbation which is not likely to transmit herpes.
