Risk of transmitting oral hsv-2 to my partner

by heartbroken2006, Aug 28, 2009 03:30AM
I am positive for genital herpes hsv-2 and strongly believe that it has been transeffered to my mouth/throat from oral sex. My partner does not herpes. However, I have been showing symptoms (red bumps on tongue, tingling/buring sensation on top of lip/ chapped lips, and what may be a lesion on the back of my tongue). My partner is not exhibiting any signs or symptoms. The encounter was 7 days ago. Is it possible that he does not have it OR that he is asymptomatic???

Was your partner ever tested to know their herpes status?

Is the encounter from 7 days ago with your regular partner?

Have you seen your provider yet about this?
