Roomate driving me crazy

I have asked my roomate a hundred times not to handle my laundery because she does not wash
her hands and Iam having an outbreak at the moment. However she removed my cloths which had already been washed into the dryer. Again I know she did not wash her hands. What is the chance of transmission although my cloths were wet but clean?

this is not a risk you need to worry about, HSV is not transmitted in this manner.

However sounds like you need a roomate who respects your wishes.

we call genital herpes a sexually transmitted infection for good reason - you need to be engaging in a sexual activity in order for transmission to be an issue.  the virus is not sitting on your clothing to be transmitted to someone when they touch it as well as the virus is easily killed with soap and water so there was never any active herpes virus on your clothing that had just been washed.

if you don't like your room mate not washing her hands touching your clothing, the heat of the dryer killed anything that might've been on her hands, not that you are going to contract anything that easily from her hands touching your clothing in the first place.
