Thanks for your response... I have not seen any blisters on my genitals at all. I did have some lower back pain and low abdominal pain but I don't know if that is in regards to stress or HSV. I had what may be called an oral "flare up" ?? I don't know. I had a spot on the tip of my tounge that sort of looks like some HSV pictures I have seen on the web. I have never had a cold sore that I remember. But with more education on HSV I do think I had a primary outbreak of HSV 1 a couple years ago.. Mouth blisters inside the mouth, flu like symptoms.. but never a cold sore. The person I had sex with swears they don't have herpes... but who really knows?, Yes it was a one time thing. I am freaking out about the Lgm that is showing a current infection whereas I don't really seem to have much of any symptoms... I had a few itchy spots come up in the anal area but quickly faded away.. The person did perform oral on me genitally and anally... So now, I am just wigged out... checking myself constantly. Can't sleep with worry. I am wondering if this is HSV2 that is not showing up on the LGG test because its only been about 9 weeks...??? THANKS FOR YOU THOUGHTS AND ADVISE
You are positive for HSV-1, along with about 70% of the adult population. If you've had cold sores ever, that would be why.
Did you even have any symptoms? Does the person you had unprotected sex with have herpes? A one time encounter (assuming she even HAD herpes) is incredibly low for getting herpes.
