The last time I had sex was on August 20,2010. I finally decided to do a STD check up on February 12,2011 due to a tingling sensation I've been having for the past couple of months. All tests were negative except my HSV results and pap results pending. My HSV results were HSV I/II, IGG 23.9 HIGH AND HSV, IGM I/II COMBINATION 3.48 HIGH. I repeated the tests on February 16 and the results were HSV 1 and 2 Igm antibodies <1:10 and HSV type 2 specific AB Igg <0.91 HSV type 1 Igg still pending. Does this mean I have herpes? And how can you tell if it's a new infection versus an old one?
no, herpes is not going to cause you to have diarrhea like this. If it' s lasted more than a few days, follow up on that with your provider. Some people do get diarrhea when they are stressed.

The reason why I asked is because my son and I sleep in the same bed and he sleeps under me real close. So at night for the past couple of weeks I've been itching and scratching like crazy and my son is always nearby. Grace I think my anxiety is getting the best of me again!!!!
Also I I've been having diarrhea constantly for the past couple of months, could there be any relations? Sorry for asking so many questions but everytime I think I understand HSV 1 someone always makes me question my understanding again. Now I'm being told that you can have an outbreak anywhere on your body like your stomach or chest is that true? Or when your body is stressed you start to feel itchy all over. Also its easy to catch for example: shaking someone's hand, sharing linen like towels or washrags ( which I did last year ). If that's true, then how am I to know when I got infected?
With HSV 1, does it causes excessive mucus in your throat or vaginal area? Just asking. Also how would I know if I gave it to my child or anyone else for that matter. I still haven't tried those pills yet but I'll start tonight just to relax my nerves because they've gone haywire! I finally got to to speak with the Guy I slept with last year and told him about my diagnosis, he started acting like a jackass stating that he's clean to leave him alone and have a nice life and any symptoms I'm feeling is just my fault to suck it up. That's why I'm so confused about this.

My so called coldsores never came in the form of an actual coldsore with pus and crust. Its always one or two bumps at the bottom of my lip. I had a bump that was disappearing when I first took the test in February and before that when I was a teenager or younger just once. I had a child when I was 25 wouldn't my obgyn pick it up on testing? That's Why I'm confused with the location of my hsv1.
I finally went to speak to someone regarding my diagnosis. He told me that I'm making too much out of the situation. He prescribed some anti-anxiety meds so I can calm my nerves. I have been overstressing about my diagnosis like crazy. My gyn called me last week and told me that she doesn't think its genital, states most likely its a fungal or bacterial infection since my symptoms have been persistent for too long so I have an appointment to see her this week. I hope she is right I really don't want it on my genital area. If I had this for years and my son just turned 3, wouldn't they have noticed it on my STD checkup while I was pregnant? I thought you're supposed to get checked out for everything while you're pregnant? The only thing that was wrong during my pregnancy was during my third trimester when the doctor said I tested positive for bacteria and that I would need antibiotics when I'm delivering but never went into details. I just hope I don't pass this onto my son.
You really need to take the time to read the links you were provided. This virus causes its own bumps. You need to start working with your doctor on your symptoms. Just because you may have herpes doesn't mean EVERYTHING you get is caused by it. You need to work with your doctor about your symptoms here and I would start with a dermatologist. My mothers face is just as sensitive. You need to be seen we can't do anything about telling you your symptoms are caused by herpes at this point you need to be seen. Please be seen by your provider so you can get some answers. If they can't see you then work with another doctor or an STD clinic.

My body is so sensitive especially when I put on clothes and underwear. My skin and part or my face looks as if I'm having an allergic reaction. The vaginal and lower part of my body still has the same symptoms as before; tingling, some soreness, numbness in the legs and there's no red rash or bumps. The bump that is there has been there for weeks now but never has turned red or crusted. There's also a feeling or warm fluid running through my lower body. Can a person have HSV 1 oral and genital at the same time? Please any information will be appreciated and thanks you guys for the help from before ^^^^^^^

I am going to see a professional this weekend regarding my anxiety and depression. Grace I wanted to know can HSV turn your gums white and leave your mouth feeling very sensitive?

Also my vagina feels as if I just had rough sex and sore, but the last time I had sex was in August 2010. I've also noticed a light pink discharge a month or so back but completely ignored it. I don't know what's going on with my body anymore.
I called my gyn today and won't be able to be seen until 3 weeks from now! I tried a different gyn also and they don't have anything until April. I'm sorry you guys for saying this, but my vagina feels sick! I still feel the tingling and my clitoris area looks real messed and my whole vagina area has been shifted out of place. I've examined the area numerous of times today and still can't find any red bumps,patches, or rash. The vagina area is very dry and the only bumps that I see is the ones that I got from shaving a couple of weeks ago which I thought would have left by now almost disappearing but when I stress it raises up a little. Should I just go to the emergency room and see if they can diagnosis my problem? Some days I'm fine and then some I just start to feel the pressure in my vagina again. The upper outer part of the genital area by the right side where the bumps are at, the area looks as if I shaved some of my skin off and is very dry. What could this possibly be? I feel so alone.....................
you have no reason to think that you have hsv1 genitally too. be seen and find out what is going on and go from there.

Could it be possible that I have HSV 1 genital also? I've never felt this way before and its been going on since last year. Everyone says they think its my anxiety getting the best of me. I still have the tingling feeling in genital area and now on my lips. My whole body feels itchy and I'm getting bumps on different spots on my body. Can an outbreak spread anywhere on the body? My gyn is no help at all.
if you are still having genital symptoms, you need to be seen again and get another exam done. I recommend going to a different doctor than the one that has done little other than scare you to death needlessly!

I did have a chance to review your link and it was quite helpful and more educational than the other websites that I visited with those horrific pictures. For the past couple days I've been trying to cope real hard with this new diagnosis. It actually made me more appreciative of life and has me taken better care of myself and my son. His pediatrician told me not to test him for the virus because he said that my son might catch it anyway what he goes to school. I'm just trying to make the best out of the situation. And another thing, I'm still having the symptoms in my vaginal area as before and no lesions or redness as usual what should I do?
