Scrotum is red and burning alot!!! Rash also

My scrotum has been very red and its been burning for 2 days now. Im so scared i dont know what it is. And now I developed what looks like a strip rash that also burns as well. this is located where my thigh meets my groin, right in that fold area. i dont know what it is and im very scared. Ive had it for 2 days now.

can this be herpes...i feel constant burning...i apply jock itch cream but doesnt help for long

Join the crowd. If your entire scrotum is red....its not due to herpes. Let me save you the stress and worry of it all.  I have confided in the doctor of this forum as well as personal doctor and urologist. Herpes shows up in isolated rashes. You will be told eventually that it is due to some sort of fungal infection or "Jock Itch". Stick with the cream. Hopefully you will see some improvement. I'm curious....you thinking that this is related to herpes....did you develop this "Red Scrotum" following sex.  If so....how long afterward?

antifungals help but they won't help with the burning and they won't help immediately. You need to give them a few days to work.  go bottomless whenever you can so that cool, drying air gets to your genital area too.

If this isn't better in a few days see your provider to make sure that it's not something else going on.

You can spray on a topical anesthetic for relief of the burning sensation as needed. Dermoplast ( the blue can, not the red can ) is helpful.

yes i had sex but with a condom...this happened like 2 weeks after we had sex.. oral was with no condom...the rash and burning lasted for like 2-3 days and it looks likes its going away.

yes the burning red scrotum was like 2 weeks after we had sex, but like a couple days after i had unprotected oral sex

fungal infections after oral sex are pretty common.  Also fungal infections happen without any sexual contact too.

the top of my penis where the opening is started to burn bad for a day or so what does this mean..my burning is also on and off in my groin area,. my thigh fold, and scrotum are these all signs of fungal infection? im usuing jock itch antifugnal spay dont know if its doing anything

I don't think the sprays do much at all. The creams are better.

You need to see your provider again if you are getting worse.

ok..well my rash looks like its going away but at times i do feel burning sensations where my rashes are...and on top of my penis..are thse all signs on fungal infection?..keep in mind the burning is where my thigh meets my groin in the thigh fold i think its called...can someone get say"herpes"there?

this doesn 't sound like herpes.   sounds like you have a whopper of a fungal infection. Even if you had herpes, you could still have a whopper of a fungal infection going on.

the spray doesnt look like its working...what can i do to make all this burning stop...i see where my penis starts..that im developing a red bump.looks like a pimple with a small small hair follicle in the middle..what are all these a sign of?

if i had herpes what signs would i need to look out for? im so nervous and scared..would herpes make u burn all over ur groin , scrotum and penis area>

You need to get herpes off your mind.

try a different fungal treatment.

sorry to bother u are u saying that based on all my symptoms that this is not no where near herpes?even that red pimple that just formed on my penis with a hair follicle in it?  im using lotrimin the spray kind for a couple of days now and im still burning. i dont know what else to do. as long as its not herpes

Hello,
i got herpes bad and it probably either Herpes or fungal. Herpes isn't straight forward. shingles is part of the Herpes virus and that can go up your torso.
Go to your Doc or an STD clinic. I got little resistance to Herpes and it's a curse.

Menthol and Camomile oil are good but camomile has to be water down with veg oil as it'll burn. I have tried menthol on certain areas and it is bearable to use.
Aciclovir in cream or if it's worse then tablets.
Coal Tar soap has some effect in keeping it reduecd.
If it's fungal then anti fungal and tea tree soap.
Anything with Alcohol in it too; creams etc.
I got a rash from my spine to my belly button almost. also in the crack of my lips.
I'm stressed with work/recession and trying to get fit again and this makes it worse.
