Hello,
I am a 29 year old man who has been with my wife for 11 years now. Just recently we went on a cruise and fulfilled my wife's fantasy of having 2 men at the same time. The man in question was my best friend for 10 years so we were all pretty comfortable. Well about a week after our sexual
hair or pimple on her labia. We did some research and decided we should get checked anyway. She went to her doctor the next day and they confirmed she now has herpes (visual
and blood test). I freaked out as we have been so careful our entire life and one incident now changed our life forever. Now about a week after the day I gave her oral I am seeing a blister on the shaft of my penis and I feel real achy almost flu like. My main concern though is I now have the worst sore throat of my life. Is this likely from the oral sex during the unknown initial outbreak or a mere coincidence and could be strep? I have not been tested yet but I am positive I also have herpes. Is there any remedies I can use t ease my pain. I am thinking about going to the walk in clinic but wasn't sure if I should tell them about all of this as it is rather embarrassing. Could they misdiagnose it if I didn't tell them? Please help as I can barely eat or drink the pain is so severe. Thanks
if you can get the results of your wife's blood test to post here, I can better help you. all you need to post are the actual numeric results - e.g hsv1 igg 5.9 and hsv2 igg 2.8 or whatever they are. that way I can better help you figure out if this is a newly acquired infection or just her first obvious recurrence of a prior infection.
have you been tested for herpes yet since she was diagnosed?
could you have contracted herpes orally and genitally? You could've but you'd need a culture of your oral and genital symptoms to know. unfortunately if you are in the US, you have the holiday weekend to further complicate prompt testing and diagnosis. since the pain is severe, indeed the walk in clinic is the best idea.
