Sharp pain in male genital area?

Recently, my boyfriend has been experiencing sharp pain in his genital area. It comes and goes very quickly, not lasting much more than 2-3 minutes. He and I are both still virgins, but we are afraid it could possibly be herpes. He has developed a small sore on the head of his penis and is extremely worried about it. I may have had HSV-1 when I was a child, but often they appeared to be much less severe than herpes and were considered cold sores instead. I have never given him oral, however my hands have touched his genitalia. I have not had any mouth sores recently, and I do not believe I have had any in at least a year. Does anybody know what this is?

Sharp pains that only last a few seconds are not symptoms of std's or herpes.

You will not transmit your oral herpes to your bf's genitals with your hands.

whatever is going on, either he's not really a virgin or it's certainly not herpes related since he's not had any sort of contact that it takes to transmit herpes to him from you.  he should see his provider for a proper work up to see what is going on.
