Shedding - How do you know when you are or are not?
Shedding - How do you know when you are or are not? I am asymptomatic HSV1 & HSV2. My partner has a current OB for more than 3 months. It is his first OB and I got tested so we could know what we are dealing with. I was tested positive for HSV1&2 on December 23, 2010 and am trying to get all the information I can. Please advise on how I would know if I am currently shedding or not. I am taking multiple supplements for immunity (i.e., L-Lysine, etc.)
have you read the free herpes handbook yet? http://www.westoverheights.com/genital_herpes/handbook/view_the_chapters.html it's a terrific place to learn the basics of herpes.
can you please call and get your blood test results to post here so I can be sure you were properly tested? All I need to see are the actual numeric results - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg 3.4 or whatever they are. that way we can make sure you don't need additional testing.
how was your partner diagnosed? A herpes ob is not going to last for more than 3 months non-stop.
lysine doesn't really help at all with herpes. boosting your immunity also doesn't help either. also think about it - if you were already asymptomatic - why would you have to do anything different? It's really about your gene's and other body issues that cause obvious ob's and nothing you swallow is going to change your gene's!
