Silly and Needing Help -- Oral Sex with Cold Sore

I have a cold sore on my lip, and last night I was stupid enough to forget. I performed oral sex on my partner, and I am very afraid, now that I have realized what I've done, that I've greatly endangered his health. Are there any preventative measures he can take now that this has already happened? If so, please share. I am feeling deeply regretful and would love to hear any information you have or can provide. Thank you all.

The only thing you can do is wait now.  If he did get it genitally, it doesn't greatly "endanger" his health, anymore than having it orally does your health.

Has he ever been tested for hsv1?  He can have it and not know it, so now would be a good time for him to get a type specific IgG blood test.
