Single Red Bump

I feel like such an awful person even talking about this.  I have noticed the occasional red bump in my private area.  Maybe it appears once a month or every 4 or 5 months.  It starts of kinda small and then it gets a little bigger then it will go away.  I have noticed it appears on my leg close to my privates or on the skin between my stomach and penis.  I went to the doctor after having a few different partners and he looked me over and called the red bump something else.  And he said that even he gets those.  When I first saw the doctor five years ago,  I told him I wanted to be tested for STD's.  He tested me for HIV, Hepatitas, etc...  and a test using my urine for Herpes.  I havent seen anyone else talk about this urine test.  My doctor is kinda old fashioned so I get worried when I start reading things on the internet and no one has mentioned a urine test.  I went back to him kinda paranoid and I asked if we might be able to do a blood test.  He sent me to the local hospital for blood.  I went to see him a few weeks later.  He said he didnt have the results on hand but that he would of  heard something if there was a problem.  Anyways I have been bad in the past having a few different partners.  I will learn to deal with this having something.  I just wouldnt want to ever pass it along to someone thinking I was ok.  I think I am gonna try another doctor and see how it goes.  I tell you what I feel like such a piece of work.  I can't help but hate myself for getting to this point in my life.  I always wanted a family and kids and I feel that I have jepordized it all because of stupidity.

Your herpes blood tests are negative.  You know this isn't herpes related.  You really can believe your doctor who told you that this isn't due to herpes when you went to be seen :)

So why aren't you getting your bumps checked out when you have them? Just go to a doctor when you have symptoms so they can look at them and take cultures if necessary.

the only way to know is if a health care professional sees you. You're spinning your wheels on this forum or anywhere else on line. It's a complete waste of time if you won't go get seen.

I didn't know for sure Waringblender...  In my early 20's I use to be kinda bad and have had around 7 different partners in my life.  I have had a red bump maybe sometimes 2 appear from time to time in my genital region, (might appear on Leg or above my private below by stomach).  If I had something I wouldnt want to pass it on unknowingly so I thought it would be best to know.

Why do you even believe you might have herpes? Have you had sex partners in the past who definitively had herpes?

OkI went to the hospital and picked up the test results that were suppose to be faxed to my doctor.  I cant understand these things.....
Says:

Test Name                           Results               Reference Range

Herpes SimplexVirus Types 1 & 2 IGG (Herpeselect) & IGM ABS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HSV 1 IgG Abs                     <0.90                  Index   (<0.90)
HSV 2 IgG Abs                     <0.90                  Index   (<0.90)

HSV 1/2 IgM ABS                  <0.8                              (<0.8)

I don't really understand this.  Please help...

I am going to go by the hospital tomorrow and pick up the results from the records office.  I have tried to look at all the pics I could on here of Mild Herpes.  There is nothing on here (Net)  that looks remotely close to what I have.  That makes me feel up beat.  I also feel that someone would have called me by know if there was a problem with the results of the blood test.  But I do plan on getting the results tomorrow so I will post.  If it does happen to be herpes how does a person find intamacy?  I mean I am filnally at a place in my life (good job, bought property, and about to build a house), where I am going to be wanting to start a family. I wouldnt want to ever pass on anything to anyone.  I hope I haven't allready passed something on.  OMG what if I passed something to someone.  Its 2009 and it seems like we are so behind the times on these diseases that  have been around for so long. At lease I see they have a vaccine for HPV and are working on one for HSV.  So thats great..

Call your doctor back and ask them to call and get the results of your blood herpes test. Once you have those, write them down to post here and I can help you with them. All I need is the actual numeric results - ie hsv1 igg 4.4 and hsv2 igg 2. 9 or whatever they are.

Thanks for the comment Daisy.  I guess I was hoping that someone would get on here and say it doesnt sound like herpes to stop this anxiety.  Well I made a phone call with a different younger doctor.  We don't really have any STD clinics where I live yet (in the country).  I havent been with anyone in years by the way.  I think I am gonna become a hermit.

The only way you can possibly know for sure is to have a proper Herpes test done, there is just no point in guess work at this stage it will drive you crazy emotionally, what you did or didn't do in the past is not the issue right now what matters is getting properly tested so that you know for sure whether you have Herpes or not,not simply for yourself but in order to safeguard any future partners you might have,
And you need to stop looking on yourself badly like this it's not healthy to do that, you have done what many many people have done I think it's only now that you have a scare going on that you have sat up and realised that your sexual behaviour has to change if an STD is to stay out of your future because sooner or later if you carry on the way you have been you will definately get something eventually if you haven't already.
Your Doctor doesn't seem to be taking you very seriously with this so go along to an STD / GUM Clinic and ask for a HerpesSelect Blood Test to be done and take it from there you may be worrying needlessly and if your test comes back negative remember this time of anxiety and worry and make serious changes about future sexual behaviour so that you keep yourself safe and protected,if it comes back positive for Herpes it's not the end of the world either  ......

I don't have pain from the bump.  It never feels up with pus like a pimple so that worries me.  I do pull the hair out of it just incase it is an ingrown hair.  There might be a little blood from where I remove the hair but thats about it.  I have noticed that when its almost gone there might be a little flaky dead skin around it.  I just would like some advise and where I stand and what I should do.  I feel like trash and I am beginning to hate myself the more I read the internet.  It seems like everything on here creates so much fear and anxiety...   I know you want to know all.  Around seven years ago I had some unusial bumps (2) appear on the shaft of my penis.  They went away a few days later never to return again.  I told the same doc about this and he told me a masterbation joke.   Thats when he did the urine test and said it was negative for herpes.  Thank you for any insight.
