Sores on body?

Sores on body?

I recently had lots of mosquito/insect bites all over my back due to camping.  However, they'd started to subside after about a month.

Had unprotected oral sex and intercourse with a condom with a new woman, and all of a sudden, the previously affected areas started to flare up and blister.  None on my genitals or thigh area.  Some of them would scab over and occasionally break and leak pus.  They are about 1/8 inch in size and evenly spread across my back, although the worst 2-3 blisters look like a tight cluster of bumps filled with liquid.  There is no pain or inflammation in the surrounding area, just slight itchiness.  The sores are starting to spread, though.  New, small red bumps have started to appear in nearby areas where I never had bites.  Is this herpes

have you been seen by your provider yet?  herpes lesions would not be all over these many body parts. bug bites won't have pus in them.

Yes, they prescribed a topical cream, but they don't really know what it is.  The sores started on my back, and have spread to the arms and lower legs.  The closest matching description I've come across is scabies, but the location doesn't match, either.

You need to continue to follow up on this wtih your provider and/or a dermatologist to try to get a better idea of what is going on.

Thanks, grace.  I appreciate the input.
I've already scheduled to see a specialist, but the appointment is a few weeks away and I'm going nuts waiting!  I'm starting to think the original bites were either a coincidence or possibly only a factor with regards to broken skin.  It starts off as small reddish bumps, and start filling with clear pus as they get larger (just under 1/2 inch at max) and then eventually scab.  Of note, the scabs are slow to heal and will break with the slightest touch ... the pus itself is definitely causing new outbreaks when it makes contact with other areas.

it's not herpes almost guaranteed. Probably a bacterial infection or something.  If you have to wait weeks to be seen, try to get an appointment elsewhere or follow up again with your regular doctor while you are waiting.

It might be Poison Ivy if you were camping.
