Still not satisfied with lack of answers/diagnosis

Following a one-time possible encounter, a year ago today, I have experienced a gamut of ongoing symptoms yet keep being told that nothing is wrong.

I have been miserable ever since this happened. I don't even feel like I'm living anything close to a life.

The only time I have had a definitive symptom of HSV-2 (an open sore on the labia minora) was 56 days after exposure.  I was given all sorts of answers besides HSV-2.

I tested negative by IGG at 9, 12, 16, and 24 weeks.  I told myself I would trust the 6 month result and get it out of my head but it is impossible with my symptoms. I have intermittent nerve pain and my vaginal are just doesn't feel right. My discharge has changed and never gone back to normal.  I also experience odd sensations in my genital area.  Every doctor I see tells me I am fine.  I am not fine.

I was also tested for immunity issues so there is no reason I w

I've been seeing on other posts that the test (Herpeselect ELISA) I used has acuracy issues.  Is that maybe why I haven't tested positive by IGG?  I haven't taken any anti-virals and all my immune response tests have come back normal.

It is more of a cloudy white.  I have had BV a few times before in my life and was actually diagnosed with that a few days before I got the single sore that I had last May. I just haven't found much to support my doctor saying the sore was from BV irritation.  Thank you for the response also.

Hi there. I just wanted to add that you should probably start taking some probiotics as well. This can definitely improve your discharge and possible yeast/bacterial issues.

Is your discharge thick and white, like cottage cheese or clumpy, or is is more cloudy white? You could have BV which is very common and can cause the symptoms you are experiencing (regarding your discharge issues at the very least). Trying to kick a yeast/bacterial infection can be a real pain!! Def try some probiotics and see about getting tested for BV, in addition to the PCR as Life suggested. Good luck!

Yes its dna. You need to resolve this once and for all, youll be just fine. White is infection either fungal or bacterial.

I am told that my cultures have all been negative for yeast. Is PCR different than this?

If your having a white discharge  you have a yeast infection and need to use some creams the make for this. Women dont have a discharge and call it normal when its white like this. Yeast can cause vaginal discomfort and much of what you have listed. You need to get this cleared up and if you want do know what the white is then see a doctor for a swab and a PCR test. I believe is all related to the constant yeast your getting.

Just my everyday discharge. It was thin and clear before this, now if is thicker and white.  I'm sorry if that is TMi but I really feel like I am going crazy.  I appreciate your response and help, I just don't know what to do.

I have not found any alternate cause for the one open sore I had about 8 weeks from exposure. It seems obvious but is mucked up by negative tests.

I just want an answer, and maybe some relief. I have tired all sorts of doctors. OB-GYNs, ER doctors, infectious disease specialists, free STD clinics... It's been an exhausting year. :-/

Hi and sorry your not feeling well. Your tests all confirm  you dont have hsv at all and the 9 week was a good indictor to show the building of antibodies so lets put this issue for  your symptoms behind us as you dont have it.

Intermittent nerve pain is a nerve issue and would be from things that effect nerve endings like an injury. What do you mean  your discharge has changed, are you talking about  your period?. Im not doubting your feeling something but constant pulling and checking the vaginal tissues can cause this.

I meant to say that I tested for immunity issues because I was worried there was some reason I wasn't forming antibodies but that is all clear as well.
