Strange Symptoms

Monogamous relationship for the last 18+ years.  During the last year, four encounters with the same person, but the person was outside of my monogamous relationship.  Last encounter with this person was late august, but not 100% sure on the date.  Early October started to feel strange symptoms, tingling in anus area, burning in thighs and groin and pain in neck.  Also developed an ulcer in my tonsil area.  Full STD workup done in early October, everything negative.  IGG HSV test done early Oct, negative result for types 1&2.  Only outbreak symptom I had was a few red bumps on my right outside hip in early October.  I did not have it swabbed, but GP did not seemed concerned. I put hydrocortisone on them, and it seemed to make them go away quickly.  Began to have a strange, clear and sticky penile discharge in late October that continues to this day, no pain urinating.  Had another IGG blood test done on November 10th, negative for both types.  Kaiser never gives numerical results.  Ulcer in throat was not going away.  I had it swabbed as soon as I saw it in October, negative for strep and herpes, specialist removed it in November, it was tested again for herpes simplex virus, negative result.  Late November, the person that I am in the monogamous relationship with (who knows my worries about herpes and how I might have contracted it) developed strange blisters on her eyelid.  They went away within a couple of days, but now she continuously has a watery right eye, no blisters, but her eyelid has a burning sensation off and on.  My symptoms continue, chaffing sensation on my buttocks, but no visible rash.  I had what looked like an ingrown hair on my inner thigh, rushed to my GP, he broke it open, swabbed it, negative for herpes.  Third blood test will be done in a couple of week, should be 12-16 weeks post encounter.  My question to you, what suggestions do you have for me as for next steps?  Clear, sticky discharge herpes related?

Herpes normally wouldn't cause a discharge for a long time, no.  The gram stain would pick up pus cells that are being caused by some infection other than the ones the urine test would look for, like gonorrhea and chlamydia.  If the gram stain is positive, antibiotics are need to treat the infection.

Until your partner is tested for herpes, I can't help you any further with questions.

Ms. Warren, thanks for your response to my situation.  As for the four month partner, according to her, she has been tested, and all tests came back negative.  I am almost positive that she was not tested for HSV, since that seems to be a test that is not given in most STI screens.  She is aware of my concerns with HSV, but does not share the concerns on her part since she said that she has never had an outbreak, but she does say that she has psoriasis.  As for my GP, do I specificaly ask him for a gram stain on my discharge?  My last visit a few weeks ago, he was ready to swab the discharge, but he didn't since he said the urine test was sufficent.  I guess I need to go back then.  Would herpes cause this type of discharge for this long...it's been prettu constant for the last couple of months?  What other things would "suddenly" cause me a UI?

You don't mention if your other partner (the one you've had sex with four times) has been tested for STIs?  That would be a very important question and one that may help you resolve your questions about whether this could be herpes or not.  I doubt that the clear sticky discharge is related, but it definitely should be worked up as a problem.  Even if things like gonorrhea and chlamydia are negative, this could be a urethral infection.  What you need is a gram stain of the discharge

Let me know the testing status if your other partner and what if anything has been worked up about the discharge.
