well the best thing you can do at this point is follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test when you have the money to do so. we'd totally be guessing as to what caused your bumps you had a year ago.
grace
& Thanks for the responses!
I had the chlamydia a year ago & was treated but I had a yeast infection also at the time and was treated for that too, but I had bumps that itched down there and assumed it was part of the yeast infection because the examiner didn't show much concern of it. I get tested frequently for std's it's just I never been tested for herpes so now I am worried. As of now I went to the ER this past Oct. and got a pelvic exam done and found out I had a UTI & they say herpes is often triggered with stress or other infections and I didn't/don't ever get bumps when I'm sick or have infections but that time last year when I got the yeast infection ... so my worry is could that mild incident be my first OB?
P.s I would get tested for it now but my insurance cut off
If you are concerned about Herpes or any other STD's then you should have a test to put your mind at rest.
If you have had unprotected sex, then you put yourself at risk. Herpes is more common than people think, but transmission mainly occurs during intercourse and oral sex.
I assume you've already been treated for Chlamydia?
Hope this helps
