Suspecting Herpes, should I test?

Hi, I just had a protected vaginal sex and unprotected insertive oral sex(received blowjob for a minute or so). Now , after 6 days, I notice my gums have gone red and feel sensitivity in my teeth. I have no other symptoms.
Can it be oral herpes? can one get oral symptoms after receiving blowjob?
When is the earliest I can test to confirm. I had no other exposure than this. Worried as I have children and do not want to infect them if this is oral herpes.
Also, i took a Z-pak( Zithromax, 1000mg 1 dose) after 4 days of exposure, had it helped ?
