Symptoms but IGG negative

Hi community,

I went to get tested a few days ago after being almost positive that I had contracted herpes 2.  I have all the symptoms and was ready to be devastated but my IGG came up with a .323, showing negative.  My exposure to the virus would of been 6 months ago.  Could the test be wrong or is it more likely I have something else?

what are your symptoms?

what other testing have you had done?

This is the only test I have had done.  Would you suggest more?

My symptoms include from about 2 weeks after my possible exposure:
itching and tingling mostly on the scrotum and some on the shaft of my penis.
A warm almost burning sensation in the same areas and some redness but not sure if thats from me irritating it by examination.

Haven't really seen a lesion that is comparable to any pictures on the web.

These symptoms are pretty much day by day or every few days and can really be sparked when there has been more friction than normal to the area.

To give you all my information I also have HPV.

this sounds far more like jock itch than it does herpes going on.  

what does your provider think is the cause of your symptoms when you are seen for them?
