Symptoms of Herpes

I hear people talk about these untraditional signs and symptoms of herpes all the time, but I never really have seen anyone say what they are. I know about the fever symptoms and everything, but what are some untraditional ways that herpes can present itself?

Thank you

certainly time to be thinking non-herpes causes of your symptoms.

Grace...you state that anal itch, and skin itching and redness is 'untraditional symptoms'   I've had these same symptoms for 6 months now, sometimes worse than other times, worse with sweating.  Dr diagnosed as jock itch, and I tested negative IGG after 10.5 weeks ( alittle earlier than standard 3 months).  My Dr does not believe another blood test is warranted, since the redness has been there so long, and itching spreads from back of thighs, anal area, and under testes.  I just an concerned this is the untraditional symptoms you mentioned.  I discussed this in a prior post last month but never followed up with you since.

No.  You won't you aren't shedding the virus 24/7 .  It is rare for that to be the case when the person has had the virus for a while as they will have an immune response to fight the infection in a new location.

not likely to transmit it that easily.

Thank you grace,
I have another question, if you touch your genitals with your hand and then touch another part of your body say your face, lips or eyes, can you transmit the herpes infection? even if it seems there is no lesions present?

itching and redness are the symptoms we are referring to as well as urinary frequency and anal itching/pain.
