How can I get a Herpes test if I don't have signs?
3-4 months after the encounter. if you should get obvious symptoms before then, be seen promptly for exam.

no like call them up, pay for the testing you want with a credit card and then go to their local lab to have the blood drawn and get the results by email 2 days later.

www.healthcheckusa.com and www.tstd.org are 2 online places that are reasonably priced and offer proper herpes testing. if either of them have a clinic near you you can order up your own igg blood test for herpes thru them!

Found the same thing. Even when I called the CDC hotline number they gave me phone numbers for health departments that test for everything but HPV and HSV. I went to Planned Parenthood and got my test done there.
yes i am grace but none around where i live does the test.none in my city or the ones close to it
You need to find a clinic then that does do the type specific herpes igg blood testing. Are you in the US?

to ARYS our local clinic does not do the blood test only the swab test. and to TREVO2002 i asked my doctor about a blood test for herpes and they said they do not do it either. and thanks grace for the info on the handbook I will read up on it. everyone is telling me that my symptoms are not of herpes but i just want to know to be aware.

Your doctor was probably referring to the swab test. If you've recently acquired herpes, a type specific blood test WILL detect antibodies within a few months, whether or not you have symptoms.
you should just go to your local health clinic and ask them to take a blood test and test for Herpes. thats what i did!
