Test Results Confusing!! Totally Confused

I'm sorry I've read all the posts and I am so upset I'm still confused. Here are my test results. Can anyone help me?
I feel like this means its a new infection and my doctor has stated the same but my boyfriend of course is claiming he hasn't been with anyone.. This could possibly break us up.. Any guidance would help.. Thanks!

Herpes Culture = Positve
IgM = Postive
IgG  = Negative

What testing was this? did your culture say hsv1 or hsv2?  Was it a hsv1 igg or hsv2 igg?

Your bf needs to get a type specific herpes igg blood test done immediately to know his own status.

These are the details.
If I'm reading this correctly I was recently infected.

Herpes Simplex Culture and Typing
Positive for Herpes simples virus type 2 was confirmed.

Herpes Simplex HSV IgM
HSV 1 IGM, IFA  my result was 1:20
HSV 2 IGM, IFA   my result was 1:40

Reference Range:  or = to 1:20 Antibody Detected


Herpes Simplex HSV IgG
HSV 1 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC AB result was 0.21 or negative
HSV 2 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC AB result was 0.31 or negative

Reference Range: 1.10 Positive

He denies giving it to me... I guess that's the best indication of the answer of who gave it to whom.

The igm isn't an accurate test so the results of it are meaningless. It's not recommended to be drawn for the purpose of diagnosing herpes.

Your igg's are both negative which makes it very likely that this was a recently contracted infection. Your partner needs to get tested - I"m sure they will be very surprised from their results.

You also might want to print out the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com ( 40+ pages ) and read over it together with your partner. It's very informative.
