Test results Help/Opinions/Reassurance

I just got my test results back.  Negative for HSV2 but positive for HSV1 (1.13).  Should I assume this is STD HSV1?  Is there any other kind?  I've read where 70% or so of people have HSV1.  I'm looking for opinions/reassurance.  I don't know what I'm looking for.  I guess someplace to tell my story.

Ocular herpes tends to spread like wildfire on this forum. Once somebody mentions it, there is a whole flurry of posts from paranoids who believe they are infecting themselves with ocular herpes just by wiping away a tear or scratching an itchy eye.

Power of suggestion, I guess.

Yeah, welcome to the majority. Everybody has HSV1. No biggie.

Dude, it's most likely oral herpes. You may have carried it for many years without symptoms. Don't do like I did and totally freak out. I ended up washing my hands dozens of times a day until they became dry and cracked. Then everytime my eyes got irritated I thought I spread it to my eyes (occular herpes) and was on my way to going blind. Then I thought no woman on the planet was going to "get with me" ever again. Just remember about 70 of the population has it. Just relax.
