The difference of pimples in HSV-1 & HSV-2

Actually I posted similar post on STD forum already but I still have a few questions regarding to Herpes. Hopefully anyone can give me some help.

I am still super scared about the pimple on my upper lip. I had sex with a guy in New Year's Eve. It's a protected sex with condom except once ( I don't remember exactly). But then he asked me to have an oral sex as he wants to ejectulate, which is not successful eventually. Then a week later (now), I got 6-7 tiny (needle like) pimples on my upper lip and I searched a lot online that HSV-1 and HSV-2 are different but also can be similar.  I ran to the hospital and consulted the doctor and he said it's just a oral herpes. There are only few conclusions: (1) I slept almost 15hours on plane with the provided blanket and pillow, not sure that I had kissed them and also I slept on the bench at airport; (2) the oral sex even he didn't ejectulate eventually for the whole night; (3) I kissed a lot of guys  
in last week and two of them we had french kiss.

My queations are :
(1)If I don't have any pimples on my vaginal part( and please don't), only on the lip, so does it count as HSV-1? The doc said yes but I am still worrying
(2) The big difference in terms of infected area, size, painfulness etc between HSV-1 and HSV-2?
(3) I had been told that to coat the acyclovir cream 5times/day for a week. I know it's an effective way but should I still need to take any meds? Or do I need to take more nutrients for my immune system???And sleep enough??
