Thigh herpes?

I have herpes for 2 years. Genital on my shaft. Since 1st outbreak every once in a while I get these red pimple like spots on my thighs. Never a cluster of blister but just one pimple looking red spot on my thigh. Can this be a herpe or something else? It does not itch or bug me

Hi, most often outbreaks occur in the same spot give or take an inch. Your thigh issue would not seem herpes related.

really, this sounds like a pimple, not herpes. if you need peace of mind, next time one starts, see your provider within 48 hours for a lesion culture.

Typically a herpes lesion on the thigh would be very painful.

If it looks like a pimple its probably a pimple. Red dots are not a typical discription of herpes sores and especially the location. If a person has outbreaks on the penis shaft would they get an outbreak on the thigh? Probably not.

Would it look like a pimple? As I said before its just a red pimple looking dot does not itch or hurt but I'm afraid to wear shorts if its heroes in case my son rubs against it while where wreaking or something

They can extend down to the feet but as i mentioned they breakout in the same area give or take an inch. They prefer the route of least risstance.

It's very close to the knee cap in the inner thigh wouldn't this be too far down for a outbreak? It's just at the very end of the boxer short area I've read about
