Thoughts please

This is a long story so sit tight!

About 18 months ago, I woke up to 4 large raises bits of skin- on roof of my mouth, on my chin, my back and leg. They then came up into large blisters ,burst and then healed. This then happened on and off for about a year- always happening within 12 hours often period starting. By using tea tree oil at first tingle, it stopped the one big blister and the blisters became smaller but still within the same large area. Whenever I went to the Drs, they said staph infection, bacterial skin infection and gave me anti biotics. After a year, it then started to hurt when I pee'd and when I checked , my whole vaginal was bright red and scalded looking. Back to the doctors and she is now suggesting cold sore virus that I have spread to my vagina.
She has given me acyclovir but hasn't suggested tests or swabs, just said that we will see how I go with that but surely I should be tested?

Sorry for the saga!!

Its not quite normal to have outbreaks on your face and legs at the same time as your describing.

I'll make a return appointment. I asked about the cold sores in so many places but never on my lips and she said that is quite normal?

abosolutly. also with shingles you most often only have one outbreak in your life. and also those that get shingles had chicken pox as a child or the vaccine.

She first suggested shingles so gave me the acyclovir and also tested for HIV to see if my immune system was compromised- that came back clear. She then said it wasn't shingles because it happens most months and also happens in the exact same place which cold sores would do. She also said menstruation is a common trigger.
I find it odd that she hasn't tested me but have started the acyclovir - should I go back and ask for a test?

You should not take the acyclovir with out testing to confirm you have herpes as what your describing is not suggestive of herpes outbreak.
