Throat Herpes, is this an outbreak?

Hello, so 6 months ago I was tested and positively diagnosed with HSV1 in three areas.
My throat, the side of me neck, and groin area.

I have always had cold sores maybe once a year on my lip, so I naturally have immunity built up for the HSV1 virus.
The initial outbreak 6 months ago was terrible, I missed 6 days of work, and was on my couch feeling like crap the entire time.
BUT, since then, I've had no outbreaks at all....

So, here's the question:
12 days ago I got a little sore throat, and not like scratchy... but more of a pain when eating or swallowing. Nothing bad, so I just didn't pay attention. A week later, the sore throat got a bit worse, and I got a little feverish, so I took a day off work. I examined my throat with a flashlight, and didn't see the normal look of a throat infection. No white pollups, or bad redness.... nothing really. Aspirin made the pain completely stop. A few more days go on, and I'm still with a constant sore throat! So I look again, and this time I see 2 or 3 little yellow dots, almost like scabs in the back of my throat, and also a little area that may look like it's an open sore.
I've also had a bad taste in my mouth and such.
Is this a herpes outbreak in my throat? I've had strep throat several times in my life and know the symptoms... this isn't that. This is like something I've never experienced really... besides when I had my initial outbreak(The type of pain anyway, not the immune response that made me feel terrible)

Anyone have any information on Herpes of the throat? And if this sounds like the case?
If so, when does it stop! I assume it's just like herpes anywhere else... 2-3 weeks and they eventually heal and go away.

I went to the county clinic six months ago.
They swabbed my throat, and took scrapes of my neck and groin.
All 3 spots were positive for HSV1 after testing.

Sexual exposure has been me performing oral sex on men.
I started feeling a sore throat on a Monday evening.
I had oral sex on that Saturday, and then also oral Sex that Monday.
But, I started noticing the sore throat basically during/after the oral sex on monday.

I assume if it was something like chlamydia or gonorrhea there would be some sign of things in the throat, and it probably would get pretty severe after 2 weeks yes? And would it get better on its own?

And the pain is bad, probably almost as bad as strep throat but not quite.
It seems like it has been getting better the last day or so(First day in the last 4 days without taking aspirin), it just reminds me of when I did have herpes, it was an initial soreness, then really bad pain for 2 or 3 days when the sore would open, and then a few days as it heals.

If you think it's something else, please let me know.
As I said, the back of the throat really doesn't look very abnormal. No puss or anything, just a few pimple-sized yellowish dots.

Herpes sores in the throat as extreme pain. How were you diagnosed with the throat herpes before? Swab?

So do you think it's at all possible that's what it is? Or should I maybe get tested for something else?
I always thought other STDs of the throat would be far worse than this.

No, it can appear anywhere in the nerve ganglion in recurrent outbreaks

But doesn't herpes re manifest itself wherever you were originally exposed?

Hi when we speak of herpes in the throat its most often associated with a primary outbreak not recurrent.
