Hallo guys, sorry for starting a new thread.
I had written earlier on what many thought was non-classical herpes symptoms including my GP and she was against testing for Herpes but I still insisted. My earlier posts explaining my symptoms are:

Well yesterday I went for my results and it was baffling and I was shocked to learn that HSV 2 was detectable for IGG and IGM @ 14weeks post exposure.
I am to understand that the IGM shows that I wasn’t born with the virus so I got it from the exposure.
Is further testing recommended or should I just accept the results?
Thanks.

If you get nothing else from this forum - get that the igm test for herpes is not helpful and should never be drawn.

I can't really comment on your igg results until I see them. Can you get a copy of them and post the numerical results here - ie hsv1 igg 3. 6 and hsv2 igg 2.5 or whatever they are?

Yeah, paste up the IGG Numbers and stay away from the IGM Test. I reread your postings before. Still don't think it's herpes as what Grace said back then. Weeks and weeks of pain etc are not herpes symptoms.

Hallo Grace and Slacker 101, once again thanks and God bless you guys for the efforts you put to share information and give help to those who need it.
I have gotten a copy of the results from the lab and the pathologist’s comments were as
Elisa for hsv
Hsv1: +ve (39.5 DN) IGG
          +ve (23.7 DN) IGM

Hsv2: -ve IGG
         -ve IGM

(>11DN +ve)

The doc had said that it is +ve for HSV2.

I doubt that HHH or EH over on the std doctor's board would be able to help with those results either but you could try asking them. I suggest contacting the lab that did them and asking them for help.  It's a different way of reporting than they do here in the US.

Thanks for your help and time. I will do that and have them explain to me again although from the look of it, the positive is on hsv1 and not hsv2, it is really confusing, but they will explaiun to me and i will get back to you Guys. once again thanks.
