Transmission - Genital to Hand/Breast?

Is it possible to infect my partner with HSV-2 through her masturbating me?
Could the virus be transmitted into her hand/body if she has a small cut or an open cuticle?
Is it safe for me to touch her breast/nipples with my penis?

Are you on daily suppressive therapy?

The valtrex and reduction in transmission study in the NEJM jan 1, 2004 is a terrific article to read. You can register to read it fo rfree on their website.

Thank You.

My partner is very cautious about the virus, being that she wants to one day have children and does not want to put the infants at risk during pregnancy.

She also has a strong education in medicine.

Could you point us to any medical publications/text that would help reassure her about the risk of skin contact?

Avoid skin on skin contact when you have an active lesion present but otherwise penis to breast contact should be fine.

anytime someone has an open cut on their hands, cracked , dry skin or bitten cuticles they shouldn't be putting their hands on someone's genital area or in their mouth in general.

Mutual masturbation is incredibly low risk if the skin on the hands is normal.
