Transmission of cold sores

My friend had a cold sore and came to work. Although it was not 'weeping', it had not healed. Do you think I can catch HSV 1 by casual co-worker kind of contact. Of course we didnt kiss or anything, but she was very close to me. touched me and has prepared Easter food for me. Is it safe to eat those

And I know for sure that I am HSV 1 negative. So the virus is not dormant in my body already.
