Understanding

Since I came positive for HSV 1
What do I keep an eye out for, how do I not pass it on

Ok. You probably have an old oral infection. Just avoid kissing and oral sex when you have an active outbreak. That's really all you can do. You can take daily antiviral medication which will cut down on shedding but it isn't necessary.
