Unprotected Vaginal Sex

On April 10th I had unprotected sex with a W/F in central Florida. The sex lasted for maybe a minute or two. I am a married, hetero, circumcised, 29 y/o w/m.

Week 1: 1) 3-4 days later I began experiencing a noticeable pain/pressure in my right testicle. After 1 week I tested for Gon/Chly/Syph/HSV1 &2, and HIV (All -). The Doctor then put me on a variety of medications to cover all of the possible bacterial STI's just as a precaution. Urologists performed an ultrasound and a digital inspection of my prostate with (-) results. While taking the medications I also had persistent diarrhea. I also lost 5-7 pounds from not eating but have since gained it back.

Week 6: 1) small rash appeared on my left testicle and two small linear type cuts under the shaft of my penis. Cleared after two days w/o meds. Doc stated did not appear to be herpes and HerpesSelect IGG returned 0.06 Negative. I do have HSV1.

* Wife had first ever yeast infection with liner cut along skin fold under vaginal opening. Healed after 4-5 days. Doc advised she observed yeast under microscope and didn't suspect HSV2.

Week 8: 1) dull pain in my buttocks and the backs of my thighs, 2)pain in the left side of my neck muscle, 3) dull pressure in my hips near my lymph nodes, 4) phantom sharp pains in my neck, arm pits, and legs, 5) constant headache on left side near temple.

Week 10: 1) pain in buttocks and thighs, 2) periodic headache, 3) lymph nodes in groin feel tight but do not appear swollen, 5) still feeling infrequent pain in testicle with noticeable cloudy urine and slight burning when cloudy.

1) Does herpes cause cloudy urine or testicular pain?

2) If this was out first outbreak (linear fissures) should it have healed so quickly. We both have previous baseline (-'s)

3) Does herpes cause pain along on side of the body (i.e. arm pit, but, this, calf, and leg) and persistent headaches without any lesions?

Thanks again!

Thank you very much!!!

And when you get your test results, you need to pay close attention to the numeric value associated with the HSV 2 result.  If it is positive, but the numeric value falls between 1.1 and 3.5, you will need a second confirmatory test.  There are some false positives in that low positive range.  Be sure to pay close attention, and when you get results, be sure to ask for the numeric values if the HSV 2 test is positive, OK?

And your post also got lost for me!  I'm so sorry.  I think when other people answer the post, it doesn't show up anymore on my "new post" list.

OK, so now your symptoms.  Let me ask you:  were you the giver of oral sex to the woman in Florida?  Was your mouth exposed to her genitals at any time?  Were you HSV 1 positive with a history of cold sores prior to this encounter?  I'm a little confused because initially you said you were tested for HSV 1 and 2 and were negative, then later said you were positive for HSV 1 and describe having it since childhood.  Were those cold sores on the outside of your mouth or canker sores on the inside of your mouth?  Also, is your wife aware of this encounter, is that how you know her doctor didn't think it was herpes?  Are you able to be in touch with the woman in Florida?  If you anwer these questions, I can help you best.

Thanks for the info! I will get looked at again after my 12 week HSV2 test on July 5th. If those results are negative, then i will need to figure out what is going on inside my body. If they are positive, then I will begin to explore antiviral medications.

One additional question:

1) If in fact my linear fissure was my first herpes outbreak, my wife and I have sex, and I go down on her, then what are the chances that I could have spread HSV2 from my genitals to my mouth?

My tounge has been having issues over the past few weeks (i.e. being very sensitive along with non painful fissures which heal over the course of a few days) and I have been having frequent headaches lately. This has me concerned that I may have passed HSV2 to myself orally now (of course if I do actually have it in the first place). Also note that I do have HSV1 orally, which I have had since I was a kid.

Thanks!

Im no doctor but cloudy urine burning and lower back pain can be symtoms of a kidney stone as well as pain shooting up one side of your body. Dont be so paranoid hun you will come to find out being paranoid will only make you feel like you have new symptoms when you really don't. And the cut on your wifes opening could be a cyst I get them all the time and it feels like a cut and hurts. Bartholone chat if you wanna reasearch. I hope you feel better and I hope this kinda helps

My lymph node on the right side of my groin has been extremely tight all night and I have been experiencing shooting pains throughout my body in addition to an annoying headache. I'm not so afraid of HSV2 anymore...it's the HIV that frightens me. No one has ever died from a herpes outbreak. Please help!

I failed to mention that I plan to retest for HSV-2 and HIV at 12 weeks post exposure (July 5th). Dr. HHH says my HIV Rapid Blood Test at 8 weeks, 5 days is conclusive; however, I will still retest for my own peace of mind. Now I fear I may have contracted herpes and given it to my wife. Something is definitely wrong as I have had cloudy urine for over 2 1/2 months now. I can discount the other symptoms as stress related; however, I wouldn’t imagine stress would affect my urine. It gets better when I increase my water intake, but it always seems to come back.
