Unprotected sex and transmission risk...

Last night and this morning I had unprotected sex with my partner. We started out with a condom last night but he took it off and this morning he didn't wear one at all. I have ghsv1 but refuse to tell him. He is my sons father we broke up for 2 yrs I started seeing someone who infected me via oral sex. My sons father and I are back together so most likely we will never wear a condom because of our history. I honestly rather leave him for good than tell him, he will hate me and be so disgusted by me. Anywaysssss I am so afraid I might of infected him, what are the chances I transmitted it to him from last night and this mornings encounter.

It may be a burden off if you do tell him. Imagine how hurt and divorced he would feel and how bad you would feel if you gave it to him. You didn't cheat on him and it is the easier type of hsv to have on your genitals for lower transmission depending on your ob. Perhaps you are hurting yourself more by not telling him. If he loves you he will be understanding. All the best.

with no vaginal sore at the time, close to zero risk but its just a matter of time if you continue this way. Most that transmitt it are long term monogous couples where one partner is infected.
