Unprotected sex with infected partner

So my girlfriend of 1 year and 3 months just came clean to me and told me she has herpes. She contracted it around 3 years ago and only had one outbreak. We have been having unprotected sex for the entire time that we were together because i had no idea that she had the virus. I had small red blotches on my upper thigh around a year ago but when to the doctor and got them tested but it wasn't herpes. Other then that I have had no sign of infection, so I was wondering what the probability of contracting the disease is? Is it possible to have unprotected sex with someone infected with the virus, who has no symptoms, and not contract the disease? This went on for the past year and a half so I fear the worst.

If you do go on a suppressive therapy then it drops to 2 men out of a 100 in a year, or 2%. And if you use suppressive and a condom the chances are 1 man out of a 100 will get herpes in one year or 1%.
