Vaginal Fissure

by sophia1984, Feb 16, 2009 10:41AM
I have had a recurring vaginal fissure about 2 mm in length, it occurs right before my period.
I have had the same sex partner for the last 6 1/2 years and i am 100% positive that he is std free.

I get cold sores on my mouth but I never had sores around my vagina. I don't know if this is normal or if it could be something else. I am freaking out because I am scared that it could be an STD.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Have you pursued any sort of work up with your gyn yet about this? Have you had any herpes testing done?

I have never brought it up, because it never seemed to be a concern to me, until I did some research and as we all know, the internet can sometimes be helpful and at other times it can make us panic without reason.

So I was wondering if it was something to be concerned about.

I never had any sort of blistering. Never did.

I have been with the same partner for the past 6 years and he is 100 % std free.
