Valtrex Shedding vs Acyclovir shedding

Does Valtrex reduce shedding (risk of spreading to a partner) more than Acyclovir?

Both drugs work equally well when taken as directed. The advantage to Valtrex as it's only once a day where acyclovir is twice a day (suppressively), and there's a chance you could forget the second dose. That's the only reason why one could potentially be "better" than the other. But they both equally do their job to reduce shedding.
