There is no need to take antivirals for an oral infection. 4 billion people on the planet have it and most everyone of them do not take antivirals, it simply is not necessary. All you are doing is fueling your own unreasonable paranoia over the virus, which is unproductive.

It does bother me that's why I'm asking how good does it suppress the virus?

There is no reason to do that for an oral infection that doesn't give you much bother. It simply is not worth the cost or side effects. Do stop.
