Viral Shedding

The thing with me is that I don't have outbreaks at all. The first and last one I ever had was a year ago after I was first exposed and diagnosed. The sores showed up about a week after I was with this person. Since then, it's almost like I don't even have herpes. I'm just VERY confused about this, and how to explain it my boyfriend. I've read information online that says asymptomatic shedding occurs right before, during, and right after outbreaks. Since I don't have outbreaks, does this mean that there is a very small chance of me transmitting this virus to someone else?? How do I know when I'm having asymptomatic shedding? I take Acyclovir every single day. What is the chance or percentage rate of me passing this to my boyfriend?

you still shed the virus periodically regardless of if you have ob's or not, even while on daily suppressive therapy.

what testing did you have done originally? do you have hsv1 or hsv2?

I was diagnosed by culture. I haven't read the free handbook yet, but I'm going to ASAP. Thanks for telling me about it :)
