Want to get Western Blot test

With a IGG result of 2.24 for hsv2, I really want to get a western blot, don't know how to go about it.  Any suggestions would really help

i am in the similar situation, got tested 2.4 and want to do the Western Blot.
from the research i did, looks like you need to obtain from any sexual activity for 4 months to get the most accurate results. but i asked Grace (just a few posts below yours) if i can do it ealier, given that my previous partners tested negative.

you can get a herpes WB through any quest lab in the US. It's a send out for them to the U of washington and is test #34534.

if you don't have a quest lab near you, you can call the U of washington and request the test kit yourself for your provider to either draw the blood and send for you or to order the blood to be drawn for at the lab they use and then they can send it to the U of washington for you properly.

My last encounter was the beginning of Sept. I plan on getting the test I will try and get a phone consultation.  I really want to get it for peace of mind...I have accepted that I have it...some days are better than others....I feel if im getting diagnosed with a life altering lifelong illness i should get confirmation. I don't have any gential (genital) symptoms..maybe a itch here or there...one thing I do have is an allover muscle/nerve pain...not sure what that is about but they say herpes shouldn't cause constant nerve pain maybe shingles....I have read many posts where people have pain. Yes you also could have a possible false positive....but do you have any symptoms?  This is all new to me and just trying to gain as much info on this very tricky std.  have a good one

hi, i know exactly what you mean. i have been driving myself crazy for a month now.. i kinda relaxed a bit, because 1) i am emotionally drained to drive myself crazy 2) i did the western blot test and awaiting the results (probably to start driving myself crazy again).

i didn't have ANY symptoms in my life, frankly didn't know much about herpes until now. none of my very few partners had any symptoms and were tested negative. i actually went to the doctor for the bacterial infection, and herpes test kinda came up as a double check, as i never had it before (i thought i did, because i thought regular test includes testing for ALL STDs).

you know what i realized from visiting this forum - most people who are here, freaking out over herpes, confused symptoms and tests, they don't even get laid that much! lol

anyway, don't stress (easy to say, i know). get retested asap and find out for sure what is what. good luck!!!
