Western Blot Question

I went to give my Western Blot sample today and I want to make sure they sent it to the right place.  They called Quest labs and asked for 34534 blood test (info I recieved from one of Terri's post).  That didn't match, so they asked for HSV 1/2 Western Blot.  That matched to a location in Virginia.  I thought only UW was doing Western Blot in the US and want to make sure they didn't screw up the order.  
Do you know if more labs are doing Western Blot?

In the mean time Im trying to find a local place that I can do the Biokit at.

virginia sends it out to U of Wash I'm sure.  it's a send out for all quest labs.

For future reference...  I called Quest and tracked this down.

Quest lab sends the sample once they get it to UW. UW then does the test once a week on Wednesday and it takes a week for the results.  Mine will be done a week from today and in 2 weeks I will finally know my status.

If you are requesting a Western Blot test through a clinic that uses Quest, they may be a bit confused.  However, you can call the Quest hotline and verify that your WB test will be done at the correct location, UW.

I'm going to try and stay off the web for the next two weeks to keep the anxiety down, and minimize my pestering of Grace ;)

it's not available in some states but most quest labs can send it for you if you can get someone willing to do the leg work to figure out that indeed they can.  

2-3 week wait for wb results isn't unusual so don't panic if you don't hear back quickly. hopefully you finally get the answers you need.

I have had no breakouts and was recently tested due to a partner was tested and it negative.  My IGG came back 2.2.  I then went to an Inf. Dis. Dr due to my internal Dr.does not believe in the Western Blot and went to Quest due to site advised Quest runs the WB. It turns out Quest in IL does not have the WB but they did not tell me this and tested the IGG, results I'm told is 5.0.  I have called several hospitals, clinics, labs and cannot find one to perform this WB test.  I called my Dr's office and advised them to go online and order the WB from Wash DC.  Help!!
