What are the chances of getting a false positive on a viral culture for hsv-2?

Hi, I was diagnosed with hsv-2 about 3 weeks ago. However, I did not have any sores or lessios in my genital area but I did have 2 small bumps which the my doctor said were warts. The warts were treated that same day and have not appeared since then. My doctor performed a viral culture on me to test for herpes and the results were positive. So, my question is if the results from the viral culture 100% accurete for the hsv-2 even if there were no lessions or sores present? Should I get tested again at a different clinic to make sure?

no a viral culture is extremely accurate if it comes back positive. it has a high rate of false negatives.
