on my left labia minora and one at the bottom of my right labia majora. They are occasionally itchy and are tender when touched. I decided to get them looked at. Two days ago, I saw two doctors at different walk in clinics. One doctor said that herpes is a possibility, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions so she swabbed the "cuts
. She prescribed me Valtrex for a week so I don't have to suffer the pain of the cuts. Since she didn't notice the other 2 sores, she didn't swab them. That's when I decided to see another doctor in the evening when I finished work. The clinic was packed and there was one doctor on duty. She was very flustered and disorganzied. I told her my story, took my pants off in front of her without privacy, she took one quick look and said "Yes, these are blisters, it's genital herpes." She didn't offer to swab, take blood tests or anything. My family and I have seen this doctor before and she is never legit. My results from the first doctor should come in on Friday. I told the second doctor that I got swabs done in the morning and she said "Even if the swabs come out negative for herpes, you could be positive." I told my partner about all of this and he doesn't have any symptoms himself. When my partner and I first started having sex, we didn't use protection. Weeks went by and I didn't have symptoms. However, about 2 weeks ago he went on a trip to Vegas and had unprotected sex with a girl there. Of course, he told me this after we had sex for the second time without protection. Could he have contracted herpes from this woman? How come he doesn't have any symptoms and it's been over two weeks since his encounter with this girl? I'm seeing my family doctor today, so hopefully she'll help me out. But what do you think doctor? How come I have these symptoms and he doesn't? Could this even be herpes?
Yes this very well could be herpes. At this point waiting for the swab results to come back is the best you can do. continue to talk your valtrex just in case. It should be 1 gm 2x/day for 7-10 days.
Yes , your bf could've contracted herpes and have transmitted it to you even if he doesn't think he's had symptoms. I recommend that regardless of your swab results, you both follow up with type specific herpes igg blood tests now and consider both of you repeating them in 4 months time in case he did recently contract hsv2 and it doesn't show up yet on his blood tests. I know it's a long time to wait to get good answers but at this point it's the best you can do.
did you also get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too when you were seen?
