What does my herpes blood test mean?

I recently had unprotected sex and went to get tested for all STD's- this was almost 3 weeks after the unprotected sex. Everything came back okay except for my doctor said i had some reactivity for the herpes IGM test. But my IGG tests came back negative for herpes 1 and 2. She told me to come back in 4-8 weeks to get tested again. I couldn't stand waiting long so i went 4 weeks later to get retested. So this was 7 weeks after my unprotected sex. Now both my IGM and IGG for herpes 1 and 2 came back negative. I know that IGG's can take up to 16 weeks to show up, but would my IGM's have gone away before my IGG's started to be produced? Also I was wondering could some of my other negative tests be negative because they were done too soon? Are there other STD's besides herpes and HIV that can take months to show up in tests?

No, HIV and herpes take the longest, other than maybe a hepatitis.

Anyway, disregard the IgM totally.  Its a very unreliable test and shouldn't have been done on you.
